Stacey A. Gaudet

While many see Southern Oaks as a picturesque venue ideal for grand southern soirees, Stacey recalls youthful memories of skating on the brick walkways when she was a child. When Stacey’s parents, Bobby and Sue Asaro, established Southern Oaks over 34 years ago, they pledged a commitment to excellence that still resonates today, from the staff’s first greetings to the last drops of champagne. Now, with over 15 years of experience as a wedding coordinator, Stacey helps couples create enduring memories of their own at the place she holds so dear.

Stacey graduated with a BFA in theatre from the Chicago College of Performing Arts, where she honed her craft in both theater and film. Her diverse background in the entertainment industry has equipped her with the skills necessary to curate meaningful and lasting wedding experiences for couples and their loved ones. A wedding, much like a stage play, is a meticulously planned production with many intricate components. With Stacey at the helm, you are sure to have a flawless performance that touches the hearts of all in attendance.

In 2021, Stacey had the chance to star as the bride in her very own fairytale wedding at Southern Oaks. Today, she remains devoted to crafting enchanting experiences for couples from around the world, ensuring that their weddings are as magical as her own.


Lauren H. Burgess

Meet our beloved Event Coordinator, Lauren B! Born and raised in the heart of the South, Louisiana, Lauren's vivacious personality and love for celebrations led her to pursue a degree in Therapeutic Recreation and a minor in Psychology at the University of Southern Mississippi. With her passion for organizing and creating memorable experiences, she found her calling at Southern Oaks, where she has been a part of the family for over 16 years.

Lauren's dedication to her craft is unmatched. Her expertise in event planning and attention to detail are the perfect recipe for a magical wedding day. Not only is she an integral part of our team, but she's also part of our Southern Oaks love story. Lauren tied the knot herself in our gorgeous venue in 2017, and her parents had their wedding here back in 1988. It's safe to say that Southern Oaks has a special place in Lauren's heart, and her love for this venue shines through every event she plans. If you're lucky enough to work with her, you'll be met with enthusiasm, joy, and a sense of whimsy that makes planning your big day a truly unforgettable experience.


Maxwell A. King

Meet our one-of-a-kind Event Coordinator, Maxwell K! Born and raised in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Maxwell's passion for music and entertaining led him to pursue a career in event planning. After graduating high school in 2016, he was awarded the John Phillip Sousa award for his exceptional skills in band. He also received the Outstanding Music Minister award that same year, showcasing his talent and dedication to his craft.

Maxwell's love for hospitality and customer service started when he joined the Southern Oaks team in 2019 as a server. His commitment and hard work led to several promotions as he mastered each of our front-of-house positions and honed his skills in customer service, organization, and attention to detail. In April of 2022, Maxwell's hard work paid off when he became a full-time coordinator, where he brings his love for writing, performances and happy couples to every event he plans. Maxwell's passion for creating memorable experiences is evident in his work, and he goes above and beyond to make sure every couple's dream day comes to life.
